What Rates Mean on an Aion Private Server

A rate (multiplier) is a coefficient applied to a base game parameter relative to the official server values. The three most common multipliers are exp rate (experience from kills and quests), drop rate (item drop chance and quantity), and kinah rate (kinah currency earned). Some projects also apply separate multipliers to crafting, reputation, and Abyss Points. A value of x1 means the parameter is identical to the official server; x10 means the rate is ten times faster. When most players reach endgame within days, demand for low-level items collapses, the market fills with identical top-tier gear, and kinah loses purchasing power. This often triggers population decline once players exhaust short-term goals.

Low-rate and mid-rate servers sustain longer economic cycles: resources remain relevant at every progression stage, player-to-player trading stays active, and items hold value for months. These projects tend to outlast high-rate alternatives and build more stable communities. Choosing the Right Rate for Your Playstyle

Consider how many hours per week you can realistically commit. Fewer than ten hours weekly on a low-rate server may mean taking months to reach endgame content, which suits players who enjoy the journey but frustrates those focused on endgame activities.
